Emisisoft anti-malware has identified Steve's scroll saw keychain maker (keychain.exe) as containing a trojan downloader. I don't believe Steve's download contained a virus. If the file is infected, it's more likely it became contaminated after I installed it on my PC (Win XP, SP3).
Has anyone else had this program identified as containing malware?
Thanks for any thoughts you might have on this.
Jim
The scan is continuing and the program reports that setup.exe for the scroll saw pattern printer also contains a trojan. Again, I don't believe it was in Steve's download but I quarantined the files.

I have never had a glitch in any of my scans....
Never heard of that software.

I think it has to do with your computer. Steve has had hundreds of downloads with no virus complaints that I know of. Send Steve an e-mail advising him of your problem. 8)

Russ, I don't believe any of Steve's programs contain malware. If anything, I would believe a false positive. I will drop Steve a note and see if he has any thoughts.
Thanks,
Jim

I run avast! antivirus with windows 7 os and it says the same thing. I had to uninstall the programs and do a system restore before my computer would work correctly again. I also do not believe this site is responsible. I think its in the antivirus program but I am not savvy enough to work around it.

I had forgotten about this problem. Just now I submitted the two files to Emsisoft for analysis. The say they will report the results of their testing. I'll report back here when I hear.
