I did something silly today and made something a little shorter than should be... so I made a pattern to remind me - its now going to sit above my saw :)
The Carpenter's Law...

OUTSTANDING. And very true.

Hi Stravides, been in the woodworking trade for 40 years (retired) and I still can't get that law to work sometimes LOL.

I've only Just been alive for 40 years hehe... Just taking up the hobby - moving over from the lathe....
Ideas are one thing, but getting the wood, patterns and books over here is so extortionately expensive :(
Used to make a shedload of pens, but with the recent price hikes it is becoming a pain to procure decent kits....
Gotta love the UK :(

Hi Ken, Life begins at 40 or, so they say, so you should be enjoying life to the full. I'm 67, I'm still enjoying life, but doing it a lot slower LOL. You're right about getting a hold of good quality timber at reasonable prices. Up here on the west coast of Scotland the delivery charges can be a bit over the top, and I would assume it's the same in Wales?. We always manage some thing though. Necessity being the mother of invention !!!.

Hi Ken good on you. Being Scottish, I love it when you get freebies. LOL. I'm quite sure you will come up with something. Don't see any MDF on your lovely site.
