Title: meranti board

as anyone used meranti board for scrolling? i got a sheet at the hardware store yesterday 1/4" thick its finished on both side. wonder how well it finishes with BLO etc?

Hey Todd, I have not used Meranti board, but if it already finished, applying BLO will not do anything.
Let us know how it works out.

Dan its not finished like panel board. its probably more like  BB plywood is but on both sides.hoping to get a chance this weekend to give it a try. i'll keep you posted on the out come .

gave this board a try yesterday.i liked the way it cut no small splintering on the back side like the other plywood i used. posted the results in the brag section.

I am wondering about the board too.  Guess I will have to read the "BRAG" section for a change.  Seldom do. :(
