Title: My FIRST Pattern.
Post by: Tomsunnu on July 19, 2012, 05:49:31 am
Thanks to Steve's tutorial in Corel Draw,I have taken a daring step to post my attempt at a word art pattern :) Fine tuning is required (a lot of it :D ).
all comments are welcome :) as I know that there is always a room for improvement in whatever one does.
thank you
Mahendra

Great job on that pattern Mahendra!  I don't see any problems areas at all in your work!  I'm not a cat fan, so I won't make use of the pattern, but it IS a great pattern regardless.

The only suggestion I would make would be to include a base in the pattern for those who would prefer to have a standing piece rather than a hanging piece.  It would be easy enough for someone to incorporate their own base design, but including it in the pattern would just make it that much easier for some.

Very nice, keep 'em coming!

Mahendra

I grabbed a copy and it looks good to me. Whe have three of the "angles with whiskers" an I will cut it at some point.  You might want to put your name somewhere on the pattern page so folks can give you credit.  I use Corel also and when I import a pattern and make my tweaks I try to put the patern makers name just over the top of the page  for future reference. I see tje pattern has been downloaded 7 times so you should get some feedback.  Thanks for sharing!

Thank you Glen and Billy for your very encouraging words  :)
Billy in this 2nd attachment I have added my name to the pattern plus a base as Glen suggested but in the excitement could not weld it together :D Thanks!

I aggreed with both earlier comments, and now you have resolved those points you have a brilliant pattern there. Also, if that's your first pattern, I can't wait to see what patterns you will produce once you have had a little practice...

Great pattern, Mahendra.  The only suggestion I would make is to "flatten" the bottom of the word "whiskers".  If the lowest part of the "W", "R", and "S" were on the same level, it would be easier to attach it to the base.

For a hanging pattern, it is just fine as it is.

You have made a great pattern for your first try so keep at it.
