Title: Praying Cowboy
Post by: baggetta on July 13, 2012, 06:53:27 pm
Found a pattern for a praying cowboy and thought I'd give it a try. I cut it from 3/4"aspen and left it unstained. Didn't come out too bad, but I think I would use a heavier wood next time. It's funny because I was watching an episode of the old tv show Wagon Train yesterday and Flint kneels down under a tree with his horse behind him, as he talks to a young child and the scene was very reminiscent of this scene pictured in the praying cowboy. My version of the pattern is available on my free page if any of you would like to make a version for yourself.

I took the pattern and cut it out on 1/8 BB and mounted it on a piece of Walnut slab with a clock in it.  Really looked great.  As soon as I got it done someone came and bought it, so I did not get any pictures.  Thank for the patern.

Took my copy thanks, I didn't think of putting a clock in it like Gene, but it's not too late to put one in.

What a great pattern! I also grabbed a copy and amade a nice 1/4 poplar cut-out and attached to a black felt backing inside a 8x10 frame... Looks good! Thanks for the amazing creativity!
