These are both made from 1/4" Baltic Birch ply including the backers. Backers are just painted flat black. Both got a BLO/MS bath before being glued to the backers. Eagle pattern came from a link on this forum, and the bulldog came from Scroll Saw Village.

Nice work and thanks for telling what kind of wood you used. I always wondered how people got that black in the background. That helps. So was your dad a Marine? I worked with some Marines when I was in the Navy. I was a Corpsman. Thanks for sharing.
