Post by: newfie on June 15, 2012, 03:01:03 pm
i got my ex21 saw yesterday didn't a chance to look at it tell today.i don't have the room to use the stand so i'm just going to put it or my work bench like my other one those saws are so quiet the only bit of noise is when i turns the speed up it vibrates a bit so i think i'm going to have to bolt it on. other then that i can't wait to get the saw dust flying with her.maybe this evening of tomorrow.
have a great weekend everyone.

Awesome Todd! You should have a great time scrolling with that saw!
Just a tip; most saws are engineered to work best with the stand. If you can find the room, I would install it to the stand, this will keep the vibrations down.

Congratulations on your new toy.

Love mine.  I posted a question about vibration and it seems that the EX-21 will vibrated slightly at full speed but nothing at 3/4. I was just at Judy Gale Robert's studio and we tested a few machines and they had less vibration than mine and it was her opinion that the machine has to be on a solid floor.  They have a wooden floor but have cut a hole out for the legs of the stand to go directly on the concrete.

Also, I use the stand and I added a shelf in the bottom as I assembled it and this makes the stand even stronger.

Enjoy

Enjoy your EX 21! I purchased mine from Ray @ Seyco in March and love it! I have a wooden floor on pier and beam and get a little vibration; not so much it bothers me. I run my say at 3/4 speed, and I do have the stand. I am thinking about a thick rubber mat under the stand to see if that will absorb some vibration.
