Title: Wedding Gift
Post by: Mainewoods on June 15, 2012, 02:53:14 pm
Cut this for my Stepson and his new bride.  1/4" oak ply, black felt backer.  Had it framed professionally as my framing skills leave a LOT to be desired!

Someday after I have figured out more than I know now, I hope to learn to do portraits. I am always amazed by them. This is a very nice gift you have made. I know they will love it for life. Good job and thanks for sharing.

Thanks everybody!!!

@Dan - No, I didn't make the pattern.  I attempted to, but was very unhappy with my results, so I recruited the help of Mr. Gary Browning.  He created an excellent pattern from my photo, and I made some adjustments to it, in the form of removing some detail where I thought there was too much, and adding some detail where there wasn't enough.  Very happy with the results, as were the bride and groom!
