Stack cut 2. One for Mom, one for MIL. Frames are 1/4" Mahogany with 1/8" Mahogany overlays and backings. Danish oil bath with semigloss lacquer on top. Pattern is from Rick Hutcheson, although turnbuttons on back are from Shiela Landry! Difference in wood color I believe is due to age, as the wood for the overlays came from my FIL, after he'd had it for years. Hope you like!

Thanks everybody! They were oooh'd and aaah'd over on both counts. Absolutely the best feeling when you see someone's eyes light up over something you made for them! ;)
@Danny --- The screws for those hinges were too long (3/8") for the 1/4" wood, however, simply snipping them in half with a pair of side cutters took care of that. Still left enough thread on the shaft of the screw to hold firmly, and I pre-drilled the holes, so I didn't need a point on the screws anyway!

:D There are a LOTf people that have no idea what a side cutter is. Great idea. I have usually just sanded down screws that were to long.

They must be very happy. NICE work.
