Blade holder tubes
« on: August 14, 2011, 05:45:59 pm »
While at my local Dollar Tree today I saw these tubes with a little watch inside of it.  They look like the Baby Soda Bottle Test Tubes I believe that were mentioned before:

http://www.stevespanglerscience.com/product/test-tubes

These were 1$ each but obviously no shipping involved, plus the watches will go to my daughter, niece and gifts to whoever.

I made a quick stand to hold the blades I just recently bought, but I will make another holder later on.

They are perfect size and they held the paper Mike supplies with his blades.  I placed a Fastcap screw cover on top (White) for identification.

Such a great deal I may go back for a few more!!

That's pretty slick Karl, and I like the stand too. Guess I'll have to check the local Dollar Tree to see if it carries them.

Good find Karl!

I think I detect a 'marketing' background...I noted that in the photo the FD labels were all aligned to be easily read!!!

Well not exactly marketing, but I've worked in retail management before and learned to make sure presentation was important.  I also learned to "front and face" all products on the shelf.  (Something I still do today without thinking when I'm shopping at Wal-Mart or other stores.  I guess old habits die hard.  :D )

@ heiko
And what will I do with the other 88 tubes? hmm... the small tubes would be fine for some products - but those are too small for the blades.

Well went and got 5 more tubes (that makes 15).  That should hold me just fine.
