I lost my best friend
« on: September 01, 2015, 05:53:19 pm »
My wife passed away on Saturday 08/29 just 2 days shy of our 52nd anniversary. She was ill for 3 years and I became her full time care giver, It was a very emotional and stressful 3 years. I had her see many specialist and admitted to UC Davis and other hospitals. No one was able to come up with a definitive diagnosis. She was in severe pain 24/7 and lost 130 lbs. She was placed on Hospice care 7 days ago but on Thursday she lapsed into a coma and never came out of it. I will be going through a long period of recovery and adjustment. Please keep me in your prayers so that I will remain strong.

Mike

I am so sorry to read of your wife's passing. I don't know what to say to you, other than we (your scrolling community) will be here for you whenever you need us. This adjustment time will be difficult, but I hope you find peace in your heart that she is no longer in pain. I can't imagine what you are going through.  All my best to you. (((HUGS))) Sheila

Very sorry for your loss sir. I know that it may sound trite at the moment , but , you must now find ways to carry on. Grieving is a healthy thing , and the loss you have suffered is one I can barely contemplate. However , at some point you must return to living your life as I am certain your wife would wish you to. Thus you do honour to her memory , of this I am certain. In this you can count on friends (both real-world present and online) for support. My most sincere condolences.

I am so sorry for what you are going through. I have been in that exact same position. So I kinda know what you are going through. Your strength will get you through this like it has kept you strong for her the last three years.  I wish there were words that would truely bring comfort but there are no such words. Your scrolling family all have their arms around you for what it is worth.

I'm so very sorry to hear of your loss.  I love Judy Hunter's comment about the scrolling family having their arms around you.  It's been 19 years since my son passed away at the age of 21, but I still clearly remember one card where a lady from my church said "we stand together with you so you won't have to shoulder the burden of grief alone."  Those were the most comforting words to me.  You are not alone, even though you probably feel that way right now.

Mike may it give you peace of mind that she is out of her suffering and waits for you on the other side. we must believe that this life is just a stepping stone to a new and better existence. My wife and I extend our deepest condolences to you at this time. As well may it give you comfort to know that friends all around the world are praying you during your time of loss.
