Have a bridal shower to go to this weekend, just finnished the gift.  Made from oak, with two coats of tung oil.

Unusual, but I like it.  I was always told it was bad luck to give a sharp object as a wedding or engagement gift, never really believed it.  Only ever did it once and the engaged couple called the wedding off 6 months after the party.   :-[  :(

Marg,  33 years ago I received a set of knives as a wedding gift, it also arrived with a bandage and a penny!
