My first Multi colored bowl
« on: September 22, 2014, 04:24:12 pm »
My first multi colored bowl. It was a little tricky. I kinda messed up on the blade size and degree of the cut. It called for a size #9 blade but I used a #7 instead because I didn't have any #9's and I didn't make a sample cut first so I had to cut about a 1/2 inch off the handle because the bowl didn't open enough for me. Live and learn I guess.

Fantastic work! That bowl is really striking with great color combinations.

Ralph that came out great.  I like your wood choices they make the bowl / basket pop.  Thanks for sharing this with us.

Thanks everyone. I hope the next one comes out a little better. I have to learn by my mistakes. Have to make sure I make a sample cut first for the right degree angle, so it opens a little deeper. I forgot to mention the kinds of wood I used. There's 6 different types. Oak, walnut, cherry, mahogany, maple and padauk, which is the red one.
