Beginning of my first wooden mechanism.

  Here, I begin my first wooden mechanism.
Some of my friends advised me one to do it as a trial with the MDF, it is a sort of highly compressed wood.
This morning so I made my plans to scale, to stick on my wood, so I have work to do tomorrow at an exhibition in the street which will bring together artists and craftsmen of wood and of all kinds.
I could not help but begin to cut the first wheel of my clock.
Here is the result;

  Yesterday, Sunday, so I went to an exhibition of street artists for my club and others from France, Holland, Belgium or Germany and took place at the same time a competition internationnal painting art and I was on the jury.
During the day I did a demonstration of fretwork to say to pass the time. Of course I worked on my clock and several wheels. Let me tell you that my audience was very surprised that I fesais, not believing that this really horlore turn in coming days.
Here are these wheels, there are now 5 in total.  



Little by little the bird builds its nest! ...

It sounds like you had a great day!  What a great festival it must be.  I am sure being around all that art and creativity really inspired you to work on your clock.  The gears are coming along great and look wonderful.  Keep us posted.

For the person who also built the clock and that is blocked by the workpiece 21.
The piece was omitted in the plans exploded.
It is however in the page 10/10. Build this room if you have not already.
See the map in that direction.


Take the top tenth and see the detail. I placed the piece 21 to where it should be. I colored in red.

  Yesterday was a rainy day, so no external work. I took the opportunity to move forward on my clock.
All wheels are mainrtenant fact, I decided to make the axes.
But I have no turn, he passed away. So I decided to make an interim basis with my drill.
For that, I started to secure my drill on my workbench.

I then did a semblance of "doll" with a block of wood that I put a roll.

I then took a stick of wood which I forr a transverse diameter of 6 millimeters, it had slipped a threaded rod 6 mm in diameter and clamped with nuts.
I put the threaded rod at one end into the chuck of my drill pui other in the axis of Roulle ball. I set the doll on my sets.


From there I can now do my lines drilled in their lengths, and make "tubes".

But I quickly realized that I had interest in building my frame before continuing anything else.

I also made some other small parts such as the future top clockmaker.
